Introduction:
The advanced camp at ATC is designed to target the intermediate to advanced goaltender. This camp will focus on crease movement, more accurate positional adjustments as well as an introduction to advanced save techniques. The majority of the afternoon sessions will focus on new age tactics to fend off high quality attacks on net. Over 6 hours will be spent on ice working to become more accurate with the goaltenders crease movement and positioning. Another 7.5 hours will be spent working on advanced save techniques, improved puck handling and communication skills, etc.

On Ice Overview:
Each ice session will be controlled, focused and efficiently run with the understanding that the students must bring a strong work ethic to the camp. The major focus of the morning ice sessions will be advanced movement and refined positioning that will result in more efficient save techniques. The afternoon sessions will be focused on advanced save techniques, repetition of new skills learned and a look at puck movement and communication with teammates. The advanced ice sessions will be demanding physically and mentally but the learned material will help to springboard the young goaltender’s career onward and upward.

Off Ice Overview
:
The dryland training portion of the camp will be based on goaltender specific requirements such as leg power, core strength, aerobic endurance and anaerobic endurance. There will also be a precamp and postcamp fitness test so that the athlete’s will have a frame of reference going forward in their preparation for the upcoming season. With the advanced camp progression the dryland training will be intense and demanding. Success on the ice begins with dedication off the ice!The lecture series for the advanced camp will be technical based. We will cover topics like: how to repel odd man rushes, power play tactics, controlling dump ins, helping out teammates as well as pregame preparation.

Upon the conclusion of the Advanced Camp students will be able to:
  • Demonstrate advanced skating, positional and recovery skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the mental and physical demands of playing goal
  • Control their zone with effective communication and puck handling skill

  Testimonial

What we really like about the quality is the low student/ instructor  ratio; that is imperative for individual development. Dave and Jamie are never more than a phone call or email away and that means a lot when you are from out of town.

It is a good bang for your buck, you guys are very competitive in your pricing.
